The collars are made of a leather band with an additional band of leather (either colour-matched or contrasting): eye-catching, even on longer haired dogs. All collars have a double ended buckle that secures the end of the collar and a solid (welded) D-ring.

The leather is waxed and polished before leaving us. All leather will benefit from some uncoloured polish now and again. Cleaning the collar should be done with either a clean cloth on a dry collar to dust mud off, or a damp cloth to wipe clean.

The collar is not designed for salty water so  not suitable for a dog who has a penchant for a dip in the sea!   (but can wear it for any other day!)

Harris Tweed and leather collar - For the dog who likes to be stylish, a band of Harris Tweed is secured to the sturdy leather base.

Denim and leather collar - We all have some denim in our wardrobe, it's hard wearing, timeless and comfortable, so why shouldn't your best friend have some denim in their wardrobe too!

Deckchair stripe and leather collar - For the dog who likes to be stylish, a band of oiled fabric in  striped design is secured to the sturdy leather base.

Each collar is hand-made , using quality leather, deckchair stripe oiled canvas and shiny nickel-plated buckles, D-rings and other metalwork.

The collars are made of a leather band with a  band of striped oiled fabric firmly attached by rivets. The band is attached on the curve of the leather to ensure a smooth fit when being worn, therefore does not lie flat. All collars have a solid (welded) D-ring.

Care

The deckchair stripe fabric is oiled so just needs a wipe with a damp cloth. The leather is waxed and polished before leaving us. All leather will benefit from some neutral polish now and again. Cleaning the collar should be done with either a clean cloth on a dry collar to dust mud off, or a damp cloth to wipe clean.

If your dog has a penchant for getting wet, we recommend the brass fittings.

'2-strap' - The straps across the chest and stomach are separate. The stomach strap attaches under the back panel.

These can either be in the same material as the back, or in a contrasting colour. They are also lined with polar fleece and joined to the back panel by 4 buttons - 2 on the chest strap and 2 on the stomach strap.

Each dog coat is made to measure, which means a couple of fittings is needed to ensure measurements can be taken and final placement of the buttons/fixtures are right. If your dog wears a harness, a feature can be added to allow easy access, as in the photos shown. 

A pattern is made for each coat and then the chosen Harris Tweed, coordinating polar fleece, buttons and bias binding assembled into the final coat.

For mail order coats, as fittings are not possible, you will receive a calico pattern from the measurements to test that the fit is correct before cutting out the Harris tweed.

'Belt' - The stomach strap forms a 'belt' around the dog. To prevent the belt slipping down the back, belt loops are fixed onto the back panel and buttons and button holes on the belt itself to be placed on the (top) back of the dog for ease of fastening.

Chest strap and belt are separate. These can either be in the same material as the back, or in a contrasting colour. They are also lined with polar fleece.The chest strap is  joined to the back panel by  2 buttons.

 'Waistcoat'  - One piece of Harris Tweed covers the chest down to the stomach, protecting the chest and underbelly. This can either be in the same material as the back, or in a contrasting colour. This is also lined with polar fleece and joined to the back panel by buttons - 2 or 4 at the chest (depending on the size of the dog) and 2 on the back.

Each dog coat is made to measure, which means a couple of fittings is needed to ensure measurements can be taken and final placement of the buttons/fixtures are right.

A pattern is made for each coat and then the chosen Harris Tweed, coordinating polar fleece, buttons and bias binding assembled into the final coat.

This is the most complex coat to fit correctly, therefore fittings with the dog are preferred rather than a remote order. Usually for mail order coats, as fittings are not possible, a calico pattern is made from the measurements to test that the fit is correct before cutting out the Harris tweed. for this design, this may need more than one pattern to ensure the right fit.

Bag

This unique, hand-made bag is designed to take you and your best friend from your walks together in the country, coast or city to sitting together in a cafe, pub or restaurant. Dimensions are bag 31cm wide, 48cm tall (before overlap), strap 82cm - 109cm (shortest to longest holes). Big enough to comfortably carry the day's essentials.

Bag Features

The bag features a detachable treat bag for easy access for you (and to take the temptation of easily reachable snacks away from your four-legged friends) while you are sipping your drink of choice. It is also perfect size for your sun glasses!

On the front of the bag is a handy and discreet leather, hand-stitched slot, which can be used to dispense poo bags, tissues or wet wipes. Next to it is a pocket that can carry a small bottle, for example: water for you and your furry friend.

There is a back pocket with a magnetic closure that can fit your iPad, e-reader, paperback or even a toy. It's also a handy place to put the dog lead .

The main bag has an inside pocket for phone and keys. Both the main bag and the treat bag are fully lined, and fasten with magnetic closures.

The shoulder strap is leather, adjustable with a buckle, to be worn across the body and secured with a belt loop.

What are the bags made of?

As we dog owners know, walking your hound can be a mucky business at times, so, I wanted to make a bag that would stand up to being well-used outdoors and keep it's smart looks.

Harris Tweed was the obvious choice as it comes in so many beautiful colours and is known as the 'champagne of fabrics'. It resists water, wear and tear and cleans easily with a damp cloth.

The world famous Orb Mark, the logo that signifies Harris Tweed is sewn on the underside of the bag flap.

The lining is made from a gorgeous colour-coordinated deckchair striped water resistant material, so can also be cleaned with a damp cloth.

The treat bag can be made either of Harris Tweed with a vintage button and magnetic closure, or of leather with a stud closure.

There are a lot of squeaky bones out there,why not get your best friend something different and stylish - (it is the ‘and’ ‘+’ from MannandMoon!) It’s also fun for spinning on the floor! 

It is made from durable Harris Tweed and canvas (orange grey, green tartan with a sand colour canvas). It is double stitched and filled with a pure wool filling and a squeaker, measuring 20cm across. 

As with any dog toy, always supervise your pet during use. It is not designed as a chew or tug toy.

As you can see Neo loves his! In fact he would have them all if he could!

Harris Tweed heat/chiller pads

Made of lovely Harris Tweed and polar fleece, with organic roasted buckwheat filling. Two sizes - a heart (approx. 25cm at widest point and 500g weight) and a bone (approx. 50cm at longest point and 900g weight).

They can be used for either heating or chilling. Instructions of use will be included.

For heating, wrap it in a tea towel and pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes, leave for 1 minute, give it a shake and it's ready. The buckwhat gives off a 'damp' heat so the pad may appear damp to touch but this evaporates quickly.

Please do not use immediately out of the microwave, ensure you 'rest' it for a minute and always check that it isn't too hot for your dog or you.

For chilling, place in a plastic bag and pop it in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours.

Please do not leave it with your dog if it is likely to have a chew or tug as it is not a toy and not designed for nibbling or eating!

Harris Tweed Throw

Made from Harris Tweed and super soft grey velboa, these throws are a luxurious treat to cuddle under but can also be used to cover a sofa, chair or a bed that your dog can lie on.  

The usual size is 98cm by 73cm, each throw has the Harris Tweed orb label and Mann+Moon label hand sewn on a corner.  

A different size can be made if requested and if you would like a particular Harris Tweed colour/ tartan we can look to source it for you, just ask!
